What is GTM Engineering and how is it different from RevOps?

GTM Engineering is building and running the systems your sales, marketing and customer success teams work on. That means the CRM, data flows, integrations and automation. RevOps (Revenue Operations) answers “how should our revenue process work?”. GTM Engineering answers “how do we build it so it actually works?”.

RevOps vs GTM Engineering in one line

  • RevOps sets the rules: pipeline stages, lead handover, metrics.
  • GTM Engineering turns those rules into working systems: lead routing, CRM–invoicing integrations, dashboards, AI agents.

In mid-sized companies one person or an external partner often covers both. Strategy then goes straight into implementation instead of staying in a slide deck.

Signs you need GTM Engineering

  1. Sales reports are built by hand in spreadsheets.
  2. Form leads wait hours for a reply.
  3. The same data is typed into several systems.
  4. Nobody knows which marketing activities bring revenue.

If you recognise at least two, your company is most likely losing money where people and tools meet.
